Absolutely! If you love my portfolio, are happy with my pricing, and are interested in working together, you are welcome to book a complimentary 15 minute chat. This is done by either phone or Skype, and it’s a great way for us to get to know each other and gauge whether I’m a good fit for your project. Please head to my bookings calendar and book a time that best suits you. However, my time is very important to me so please only book a chat if you are genuinely interested in working with me.
HOW DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS WORK?
Once you’ve approved your quote, I will send over a Welcome Kit that includes a deposit invoice and proposed project timeline. Once you’ve paid your deposit we will schedule a Strategy Session (via phone, Skype or in person) and I will send you a questionnaire. I will then do research, create the initial design concepts, and present the concepts to you for feedback. You will always have the opportunity to give me your feedback (usually via email). Once everything is approved, finalised and paid for we I send over your finalised files. I will then take care of the printing and distribution for you (if applicable to your project).
HOW LONG DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?
Each job is different. If you have a deadline in mind please let me know at the beginning of the process and we will let you know if it is achievable. When we start working together I will send you a Welcome Kit that outlines your project timeline so you know when you can expect to hear from me and when I expect to hear from you.
WHAT KIND OF GRAPHIC DESIGN DO YOU DO?
I’m predominantly a logo and branding designer, and this is my focus, but I can do all kinds of graphic design as I’ve been in the design industry for past 8 years and I’ve covered a diverse range of roles in that time. I’ve worked with everyone from multinational corporations through to small start-ups across a range of different industries. I can handle almost any kind of design project whether it is a logo or full brand identity, packaging, an annual report or 200 page catalogue, a book or magazine, an illustration for a t-shirt, or a website. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I’m based in Springwood, Queensland – 20 minutes from the Brisbane CBD, but I can work with people regardless of where they are in the world.
WHAT’S YOUR HOURLY RATE?
The majority of the work that I do is priced per project rather than per hour. It wouldn’t be fair to charge you per hour because my perfectionist tendencies means that I can spend hours working on one minor detail! With project-based pricing you know from the start how much the project is going to cost, and you don’t have to worry about being out of pocket because I have a day of creativity-block.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE YOU OVER A BIG AGENCY?
Because you get to work directly with your designer and you don’t have to worry about being lost among hundreds of other clients! Agencies have great portfolios, but the designers that created those portfolio pieces may have left the studio years ago. By working with me, you can be assured that the person that created that portfolio that you love (me!) will also be the person working on your project (also me!) I also offer better value for money because I don’t have to build hefty studio costs into my pricing. And because I have experience working at big agencies, it’s like you’re getting the best of both worlds!

DO YOU OUTSOURCE TO OFFSHORE DESIGNERS?
No! I never outsource to off-shore designers. All design work is completed by myself. I occasionally work with other industry professionals (developers, photographers, printers, etc.) but I only work with local professionals that I personally know and have carefully selected based on their high level of skills and experience.
I NEED A DESIGNER ON A REGULAR BASIS, CAN YOU HELP?
Absolutely! I have a number of clients that I’ve been working with long-term. I offer retainer packages as well as private-label services for agencies. Please contact me so that we can discuss your requirements.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU DESIGN?
I’m very selective about the work that I do, and I will refer you to another designer if I feel that I’m not the best fit for your project. I always work to my highest standards within the confines of the timescale, brief and budget provided. Sometimes I hit the nail on the head first time, sometimes it can take some revisions, but I always ensure that my clients are 100% happy.
CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTION?
Definitely! I have relationships with a number of trade printers and mailhouses, who can be considerably cheaper than retail printers, so I can get you a great deal on printing. Alternatively, if you prefer to organise printing yourself I’ll provide you with the final designs in any format required. We’ll discuss early on in the process how you prefer to handle printing and production.
CAN YOU DO FREE WORK FOR MY CHARITY?
I only do free work for the charities that I am personally involved with, but I do offer generous discounts to small-scale NFPs, and I’m happy to look at sponsorship proposals.
